Founder’s Story
Hi, my name is Hali, I build websites.
In high school, at age 15, I made my first one. Before the end of my second year, I was creating lessons for my class.
After high school, I attended MacEwan University to learn how to code, with the goal of developing websites. I learned lots of best practices for coding but wasn’t learning the specifics of building websites, so I pivoted to attend N.A.I.T. In the Digital Media and IT program I specialised in graphic and web design. I graduated from N.A.I.T. with Honours at the end of 2020 and that’s when Angela and I decided to build Merge Websites.
Hi, my name is Angela and I’m a business person.
In 2018 I went back to school. I enrolled in N.A.I.T.’s Business Administration program with a major in Accounting and graduated with Honours in 2020. Then I completed the Entrepreneurial program and that’s when Hali and I decided to build Merge Websites.
Some of my work history includes:
Bookkeeper, for multiple small business clients.
Logistics Specialist, sending products around the world for Alberta industries.
Project Manager, managing sub-contractors to maintain pipelines from Alberta to Louisiana.
